Austin came back to action in April 2022 during the 38th edition of Wrestlemania. Fans were elated to see him dragging back The Attitude Era in this modern age to have a successful outing. One of the most influential pro wrestlers of all time is currently rumored to be a part of Wrestlemania 39. It appears that there have already been discussions for him to compete in a match, for real.

Two types of opponents considered for Stone Cold at Wrestlemania 39
The general belief is that The Texas Rattlesnake could face two types of opponents if he comes back to WWE. He could either face a younger star who can help carry the match just like Kevin Owens did at WrestleMania 38. The second type of opponent could be a top superstar like Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, or John Cena.
No further details regarding Wrestlemania 39 pitches for Austin by the WWE were disclosed by the source. It was previously reported that WWE offered another match to Austin, but it wasn’t clear whether it was for Mania or any future Saudi Arabia shows.
Meltzer did add though that Austin keeps in great shape, just like he was in WrestleMania 38 and we have already spotted so during a gym session via his Instagram story. At this point, we’ll have to wait and see whether he agrees to WWE’s proposal to compete in more matches.
Wrestlemania 39 takes place at the SoFi Stadium in Hollywood, California on April 1 and 2, 2023. To date, no superstars or matches have been confirmed to appear on the show.
