ToggleIt’s clear as daylight that Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship will be the main event of Night Two for WrestleMania 39. This is a match that’s been rumored for months. Once Cody won the Royal Rumble match in January, the title match was officially announced as Cody had only one world champion in the WWE to go after.
That leaves the Night One main event slot of WrestleMania 39 empty, at this point. According to the previous reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE might book a women’s division match, possibly Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in that slot.

This could apparently be an effort of being politically correct and keep the women’s superstars in the main event spotlight for consecutive years,
“Reigns vs. Rhodes is expected to headline the second night. There is no decision on the (Night 1) main event past an internal feeling that Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley right now is the favorite.
There is a push feeling from sponsors and political reasons after men main-evented both nights last year, it would be good for a women’s match to headline and the feeling Flair vs. Ripley is stronger than Bianca Belair vs. Asuka for the spot.”

New title match to be put in WrestleMania 39 Night One main event spot
Now, new reports from WRKD Wrestling (the source who broke the story about Lita & Trish Stratus’ return) are out to reveal that a new match could be fit into the Night One main event slot of WrestleMania 39. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs. The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships is that match that could end up becoming the headliner for Night One so that The Bloodline as a whole could remain in the marquee position.
WrestleMania 39 is barely 30 days away in the calendar and it’s going to be the first-ever WrestleMania to be booked under “The Game” Triple H-regime as he’d become the Chief Content Officer of WWE programming, last year following Vince McMahon’s departure. The senior McMahon is still around the company as in the corporate sector but he doesn’t look after the TV content, anymore.
