We haven’t seen Randy Orton in recent times in the WWE but being a trusted shoulder, his name kept on getting nurtured, backstage and amongst the fans. For months now, we have heard negative updates regarding his return to the company. But the good thing is his possible WWE return could be happening at or after the biggest event of the year given that WWE is willing to fly him in for Wrestlemania 39.
The April premium live event will be here in just a few days and to the delight of the WWE Universe, PWInsider reports that there are currently plans to bring in Randy Orton for the weekend in Los Angeles, California. If that’s the case then we can certainly hope that his return to the road will happen around the biggest weekend of the year.

WWE bringing in Randy Orton for the Wrestlemania 39 weekend is certainly a good sign for resuming his career. However, the source didn’t mention if he will legit be booked to compete at the Show of Shows. He’s been out with an injury while his former tag team partner Riddle is also missing from action for the past few months due to a violation of WWE’s wellness policies.

It was in late 2022 when Randy Orton had reportedly undergone back fusion surgery, a procedure that sidelined him for a significant period. Then in February, a report emerged that he had contacted a boot maker in order to receive new wrestling boots, possibly for Wrestlemania, hinting that a return would be happening sooner than expected. The source also noted that internal discussion regarding the comeback had also popped up again within WWE.

Before his hiatus started, Randy Orton was regularly teaming with Matt Riddle as RK-Bro, holding the Raw Tag Team Championships before the duo dropped those belts to the Usos in a title unification match at last year’s May at Wrestlemania Backlash 2022 edition.
Since Riddle is nowhere to be found on TV, a reunion could be ruled out. No other creative plan upon The Viper’s return has been revealed but he could go after The Bloodline since they injured him in a kayfabe angle following the undisputed tag title match.
