One of those surprise names in surprise capacity was recently spotted in LA to fuel up the rumors.
Randy Orton is that discussed name whose WWE status has been a mystery over the past several months due to an end injury. Internally, the top WWE Superstar is getting closer to making a comeback. Moreover, he recently contacted bootmaker Jose G Sanz about making boots for his comeback at Wrestlemania 39, according to a social media post made by Sanz to indicate the return.

Then there were rumors that WWE would bring Randy Orton in for the big Wrestlemania 39 weekend. As per a report by PWInsider Elite, the multi-time champion had also arrived in Los Angeles for the weekend. This gave hope to the fans about seeing the living WWE Legend at the Showcase of immortals but that may not be the case.

For those who have guessed that Randy Orton’s return to the ring might be imminent could be upset after Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com has provided an update regarding the superstar’s physical condition heading into Wrestlemania 39. According to Meltzer, “don’t expect him doing matches any time soon as he’s a ways away from recovering from his back issues.”
Randy Orton and Matt Riddle lost the Raw Tag Team Championships to The Usos in a Winner Take All match in May 2022, on SmackDown soon after Wrestlemania Backlash. It was right after that match that The Viper Orton was taken off WWE’s television programming due to the injury. It was later reported that he had to undergo surgery to fix up things in his back portion.
It’s yet to be seen whether WWE intends to use Randy Orton at WrestleMania in case he’s doing okay 39 or save his comeback until Monday’s Raw after Mania, or he’d just be there to visit his friends in the locker room. There’s no certainty with the 14-time World Champion’s status, after all.
