ToggleHeading into Wrestlemania 39, a wild rumor was there on the internet wrestling circuit about Intercontinental Champion Gunther facing Brock Lesnar. This came after what transpired during the Men’s Royal Rumble 2023 match, where both men had a face-off. However, WWE went in a different direction from that point and booked Brock Lesnar vs. Omos, instead.
As reported by WWFOldSchool, WWE has recently discussed doing Gunther vs. Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 39 in a Triple Threat encounter.
Sheamus vs. Gunther is already one of the most critically acclaimed feuds from last year while it seems like McIntyre getting involved in the Title picture with Gunther is a possibility since he stared down the champion during a tag team match, last week.
