WWE has a lot of options to shuffle and choose final ideas from those as WrestleMania 39 approaches. On April 1st and 2nd, the Show of Shows will go down from the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California and WWE had to finalize the options. John Cena may not be present on TV but he remains in the conversation as the internal belief is that he will be a part of the event.
Ringside News reported that WWE’s card for WrestleMania 39 has been decided on. It does mean that fans might expect to learn a few matches earlier than expected and the backstage planning is possibly moving forward. Reports already affirmed that John Cena filmed some sort of extra material during his WWE TV return on the December 30th episode of SmackDown.

WWE has figured out Cena’s Wrestlemania plans
It was reported that Austin Theory was also a part of that filming process as well. While it wasn’t fully confirmed why he was utilized, WrestleMania 39 could be the reason for that. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, John Cena vs. Austin Theory is the current plan for the Biggest Event of the Year.
This match was also mentioned to be a part of WWE’s plan for a while,
“It looks like it’s going to be Cena and Theory at Mania. It was the plan way, way back.”
John Cena vs. Logan Paul was also earlier discussed for WrestleMania 39
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer also noted that there have also been some talks of celebrity YouTuber Logan Paul and The Cenation Leader facing each other at WrestleMania 39 since Logan had shown interest in facing the multi-time WWE Champion,
“Logan Paul had asked to be against Cena at WrestleMania, but they never said that. There was definitely talk of Cena vs Logan Paul in November/December in that range.”

Ringside News also previously reported that Vince McMahon gave John Cena his blessing and permission to move forward with his occasional WWE career in between his WWE career whenever it’s possible. Now that Mr. McMahon took over WWE once again, it’s evident that he would like to book the former franchise player in a match at WrestleMania 39.
Obviously, WWE wants to build Austin Theory as one of their biggest stars in the future and pitting him in a match on such a big stage as WrestleMania 39 could automatically fetch attention toward him. Time will tell how WWE’s creative plans around this match will fall into place.
