Wrestlemania 39 will be the biggest two nights in professional in 2023 in April promising to gather the biggest names in professional wrestling. Speaking of this leads us to the name of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin who unarguably is one of the most iconic performers in WWE history.
The Texas Rattlesnake entertained the fans with his performance at WrestleMania 38 in 2022 by coming out of retirement for a match against Kevin Owens. This made the fans wonder if he will ever compete again or if it was just for one match only that he got back into shape. Amid rumors of his return to WWE in 2023, Austin is almost confirmed to appear at WrestleMania 39.

Updates on three big appearances on Wrestlemania 39 card
Now, while speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Steve Austin is currently residing on top of the list of legends who are very likely to appear at WrestleMania 39. The list of ‘big three’ names also comprises The Rock and John Cena,
“[John] Cena is a ‘probable’, and Dwayne [Johnson] is a ‘possible’,” while “[Steve] Austin is probably the surest of the three… it’s just a question of how he feels, and he’s gonna do what he feels like doing,”
Austin came back to action at Wrestlemania 38
As noted above, Austin duked it out against Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match at the very end of WrestleMania 38 Night One first night and got the W, much to the delight of everyone in attendance. It was his first match since his retirement match against The Rock at WrestleMania 19 in 2003. Austin expectedly lost that match before as he was set for a pre-mature retirement due to a neck injury.
However, now that he’s in great shape in long years, many have speculated that another match for Austin at Wrestlemania 39 is a no-brainer. Only time will tell whether these speculations are true. Also, we’ll have to wait and see whether his appearance would happen in a surprising capacity or not.
