Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is unarguably considered perhaps the most successful professional wrestler who made it big to the mainstream industry. This also makes him one of the most popular professional wrestlers of all time and it persists despite the fact that he’s no more a regular name in the pro-wrestling business.
The Rock has accomplished a lot in the film industry while becoming the highest-paid actor as well as the biggest box office attraction in Hollywood. There were plans for him to compete at WrestleMania 39 since the event emanates from Hollywood this year. However, he has decided not to have a match at WrestleMania 39 due to his busy schedule, and henceforth a dream match has been canceled.

For a very long time now, fans have been wondering whether Roman Reigns vs. The Rock in a mega battle is possible at WrestleMania. Clearly, WWE would love to pit the two biggest superstars from the Samoan family for the sake of themselves as well as the fans who continue to be excited at the thinking of the match finally becoming a reality. But clearly, the match isn’t happening.

The Rock doesn’t have time to be in-ring ready for WrestleMania 39
This is because The Rock simply couldn’t be ready in time to wrestle at WrestleMania 39. While he doesn’t have time to be ready for a match but the good thing is that he can still be expected to appear at the show. Dave Meltzer took to Twitter and noted while responding to a fan that The Great One could still make an appearance at the Show of Shows. However, it will not be in a wrestling capacity,
“He may show up. But he turned down wrestling.”
According to what the Wrestling Observer Newsletter had to offer in the recent past, The Rock’s status for WrestleMania 39 was never set in stone due to his involvement in the XFL project. Many believed that he freed his schedule possibly to get back to in-ring competition in the WWE. But that wasn’t the case as mentioned in WON,
“Johnson right now has different projects going on, most importantly the launching of the XFL which debuts the weekend of 2/18 and he will be very heavily involved with the promotion of the league. He had said he would need to have training time to be able to get in ring shape. So his decision comes down to his belief of having adequate time to prepare.”
