Much to the delight of the WWE Universe, one of the most popular female WWE Superstars of all time, Trish Stratus is coming out of retirement at Wrestlemania 39. After making a shocking return to WWE Raw, last week, now it’s time for her to lace up the boots at the biggest event of the year for a tag team match.
Over on this week’s episode of Raw, Trish appeared along with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Lita and Becky Lynch to confront DAMAGE CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY) in the ring. Trish informed DAMAGE CTRL leader Bayley that she’ll be coming out of retirement at Wrestlemania 39.

That being said, Trish then issued a challenge for a six-woman tag team match at Wrestlemania 39 which Bayley accepted. Soon after that, a brawl broke out in the ring where the babyface team took out the heels to stand tall and end the segment.

Plans seemingly changed for Wrestlemania 39 matches
WWE Universe mostly expected Bayley vs. Trish singles contest to go down at Wrestlemania 39 but now, a six-woman tag team match has been confirmed. This match also affirms that the Women’s Tag Team Titles will not be defended. As of last week, the reports indicated at Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler were supposed to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
It should be noted that Trish last competed in a match at SummerSlam 2019 in her hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where she lost to Charlotte Flair in her supposed retirement match. Then she made her return to Raw, last week to help Lita and Becky Lynch to win the tag team titles from DAMAGE CTRL.
