WWE’s biggest event of the year of 2023, WrestleMania 39 will continue the tradition of hosting the show across two nights. On April 1 and 2, global fans will be visiting the SoFi Stadium in Hollywood, California to witness the extravaganza where their favorite superstars will be performing. That being said, some top Superstars might have to pull off double duties.
Lita and Becky Lynch are really enjoying their Road to WrestleMania 39 as they suddenly became the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions by defeating DAMAGE CTRL members Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. Those titles are not up for grabs at the show of shows but down the road, the match could eventually be announced forcing the champions to wrestle twice at the grand event.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are still in line to receive a Women’s Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania 39. This certainly led to more questions as the champions are already booked in a tag team match. The source stated that the current plan calls for the champions to work on both nights.

A separate title match or a trios match could be announced at WrestleMania 39
It could be that Rousey and Baszler should get a chance to compete for the tag titles at WrestleMania 39 since it was sketched by the WWE heading into the show. But Rousey reaggravating an arm injury threw curveballs into those plans. If WWE wants to protect her then there have also been talks of arranging a trios match featuring the champions and DAMAGE CTRL. Here’s more on what the report has to offer,
“There has been no storyline tease for Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler challenging for the women’s tag team titles. Last week the plan was for whomever the champions were to work matches both nights, in a trios match (Bayley & Iyo Sky & Dakota Kai vs.
Trish Stratus & Lita & Becky Lynch) and whether it was Sky & Kai or Lita & Lynch, the tag champs would face Rousey & Baszler. This is tough to build up with Rousey having the arm fracture. We haven’t heard an update at press time as to the status of this match.”
WrestleMania 39 will be a huge two-night event at SoFi Stadium where the two Women’s Tag Team Champions could ultimately secure a huge paycheck to feature in two matches. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter also hinted at Trish Stratus possibly turning heel on Becky Lynch and Lita. While nothing has been confirmed, there would be a lot of twists and turns to wait on the way.
