WrestleMania 39 is more than eight months away on the calendar but WWE is already discussing some matches for the event. The 2023 edition of the show will visit Hollywood and it will be held in a grand manner. That being said, WWE will put their best efforts to gather as many stars as possible to make the show a success.
Reports affirm that WWE has the following two matches in the pipeline to be culminated in at The Biggest Event of the Year (which would likely be the 2 main events for 2 nights for WrestleMania 39)
– The Rock vs. Roman Reigns
– Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch

Ringside News noted in their report that Ronda Rousey’s Wrestlemania 2023 opponent is already set. The Baddest Woman on the Planet vs. Big Time Becks will be the reported lineup for that big event. While the match has creatively been discussed, it’s not been locked in yet.
As the source wanted to confirm about Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 39, they were asked another question in return, “who else can draw top money outside of Ronda vs. Charlotte?” That being said, it is not “planned.”

The Rock expected to make in-ring return at Wrestlemania 39
As noted above, the other match being discussed for WrestleMania 39 is the long-awaited match between The Rock and Roman Reigns. The source was told that while it is being talked about, it is “not definite by any means.” However, The Rock’s in-ring return to his home-turf of Hollywood makes perfect sense. But he has to free up his time from his movie-schedule to be a part of this match.
Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship was revealed as one of the main events of WrestleMania 38. This match then ended up being a Title vs. Title matchup given after Lesnar won the WWE Championship match at Elimination Chamber 2022. The other main event for one of the nights of Wrestlemania 38 was expected to be Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship but Stone Cold’s return stole that spotlight.
As for Wrestlemania 39, it’s scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 2, 2023, in Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. The event has also been converted into a two-night show in due course.
