Wrestlemania 39 takes place Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2 from the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. In general, WWE starts planning for the biggest premium live event of the year months ago and things aren’t different, the next time around. With Royal Rumble waiting in January, ‘Mania season will be underway before we could realize it.
In the latest, WWE has given the biggest tease about Cody Rhodes being back in time for WrestleMania 39 as the American Nightmare has been injected into a commercial shoot for the event. Hours prior to the 2022 Hell in a Cell PPV, Rhodes suffered a torn pectoral muscle which is the reason why the former WWE Intercontinental Champion on the shelf ever since.

Being a top superstar from the WWE Raw roster, anticipation is high about Rhodes’ return and the good news is that he will be ready to return to action in time for Wrestlemania 39. A couple of days ago, WWE filmed a commercial for the Show of Shows in Los Angeles that featured The Miz competing against Rhodes, per the reports from Fightful Select.

The source added that there were never really any doubts about Rhodes wrestling on the Wrestlemania 39 card and hence this commercial shoot doesn’t come as a surprise. Additionally, Maryse was also supposed to be present during the shoot, possibly to accompany her husband, The Miz,
“WWE filmed a commercial Thursday in Los Angeles that featured Cody Rhodes (or at the very least someone dressed up exactly like him) and the Miz locking up on a Los Angeles bridge. We’re told that Maryse was supposed to be in attendance as well, though we aren’t sure if it was for a specific commercial spot or just to be there. In addition, Triple H and Bad Bunny were both in town, as Triple H has posted a picture with him.”
Cody Rhodes returned to WWE in 2022
Cody Rhodes returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38 in April of this year just 46 days after departing All Elite Wrestling. The American Nightmare would go on to defeat Seth Rollins at the biggest event of the year, at WrestleMania Backlash, and then at WWE Hell in a Cell to have a clean sweep over The Architect. Rhodes is expected to be in action at Wrestlemania 39 but there’s no update on his possible opponent.
