ToggleWWE is moving forward with their plans for Wrestlemania 39 even when the event is months away in the schedule. Heading into the show, WWE has to make a lot of decisions on the road to the biggest season of the year, next spring. On April 1 and 2, we will see WWE bring in the grandest event to the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and fans can expect to witness a historic event across two separate nights.
That being said, one rumored plan for Wrestlemania 39 isn’t reportedly considered unlike what the previous reports have claimed. Xero News tweeted a few weeks ago to spill out some “plans” from WWE around Roman Reigns and the dual championship belts held by him.

It was said that “The Titles will be split by the end of the draft latest. (The draft will be after Mania) There are some talks however of Roman dropping both Belts at Mania on Night 1 Second on Night 2.” This report gave a scoop about how WWE is trying to split up the two top titles in the company, moving on. However, this update was reportedly a false one.

Roman Reigns’ dual title defense at Wrestlemania 39 is false
In a follow-up update, Ringside News reached out to verify this report, as they thought that it would certainly be a bold booking decision on WWE’s part for Roman Reigns. A tenured member of the WWE creative team informed that nothing such was discussed around Wrestlemania 39. He was quick to shoot down this earlier “report” from Xero News,
“It’s obvious this person has no real source on the inside, because he is referring to discussions that have never taken place.”
Update on WWE Draft comeback in 2023
It was also stated by RSN that WWE is still trying to finalize the date for WWE Draft. While there’ve been rumors that the shakeup process would be back shortly after Wrestlemania 39, nothing is solidified, at this point.
The Rock is stated to be a virtual lock for WrestleMania 39 as reported earlier by RSN. The Great One is busy with his movie schedule, but with the XFL opening set for early next year, he’s bought in some free time that could be utilized for an in-ring comeback.
