With WrestleMania 39 spanning across two nights, it will reportedly feature a shorter card, unlike the last two years. This will likely leave some of the WWE Superstars in a frustrated state if they are left off the biggest show of the year’s card. A report has also claimed the same mentioning how there are backstage unhappiness could have been seen in recent times regarding this issue.
WrestlingNews.co was informed through their sources that WWE will present a smaller card as compared to previous years. This is an edict that comes directly from WWE’s Head of Creative/Talent Relations Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
Wrestlemania 39: Major Spoiler On Championship Match From WWE Smackdown
Battle Royal removed from Mania
As noted by the source, there won’t be any WrestleMania Battle Royal at the Show of Shows. In most recent years starting from 2016, a lot of Superstars got the chance to compete at the biggest event of the year via this match which won’t be the case, this year.
However, it should also be noted that WWE has mostly kept the men’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal placed on SmackDown before WrestleManias. There’s no update on whether that tradition will continue or not.
WrestleMania is the biggest WWE premium live event of the year and hence the expectation is that it will bring the longest and most stacked card of the year. At this time, the full match card for WrestleMania 39 is yet to be announced by the WWE. With a smaller card hinted by the source, fewer spots for talent have rightfully created “some unhappiness” backstage.

As confirmed by the WWE, the Night Two of the event will be headlined by Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns defending his titles against Cody Rhodes.
