Ronda Rousey hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since dropping the Smackdown Women’s Championship. This has been a welcoming experience for the WWE fans who were constantly booing her during her heel championship run. It now appears that the veteran MMA star will return to WWE TV in time for Wrestlemania in a fresh title match rather than going after the blue brand women’s title.
After missing Royal Rumble premium live event, WWE fans have been speculating about Ronda Rousey’s status at Wrestlemania and that whether she’s booked to show up on that April PLE or not. New reports have now emerged confirming that WWE has ‘locked in’ plans for her match at the Show of Shows in a unique capacity.

Dave Meltzer informed in a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE has a few confirmed matches on the Wrestlemania 39 card. Belair vs. the Chamber winner for the Raw women’s title, John Cena vs. Austin Theory (no word on whether this will or won’t be a U.S. title match), and Iyo Sky & Dakota Kai vs. Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler for the women’s tag team titles.”

Ronda Rousey to go after DAMAGE CTRL?
Currently, DAMAGE CTRL members IYO SKY and Dakota Kai are enjoying their second reign with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. They defeated Aliyah and Raquel Rodriguez to win the titles in September 2022. In recent times, they haven’t put their titles on the line. Plus, Kai is injured since Royal Rumble 2023 and hence, she won’t perform in the ring for the time being.
As for Ronda Rousey, she defeated Raquel Rodriguez to successfully defend the Smackdown Women’s Title on December 30 Smackdown but she was quickly interrupted by the returning Charlotte Flair who went on to defeat her in under just two minutes. Since then, we haven’t spotted The Baddest Woman on the Planet on TV.
