On an eventful night of Raw, this week, a couple of matches for WWE Backlash 2023 have been announced. These were not the only big announcements coming out of the show as Triple H announced a new WWE World Heavyweight Title. Also, former WWE Champion and Chicago’s own CM Punk was present, backstage on the show to make headlines.

Coming back to WWE Backlash 2023, the night has now included a rare appearance from Bad Bunny in a physical capacity. He will now compete in the third match of his WWE career on the upcoming show.

WWE Backlash 2023: Bad Bunny Officially Booked In A Gimmick Match 1

In the main event of this week’s Raw, Rey Mysterio battled Damian Priest, and the match ended in DQ after Priest hit Rey with a chair. Priest also nailed the 2023 WWE Hall of Famer with a South Of Heaven through the announce table to cause further damage to the veteran. However, Bad Bunny then came out to make the save.

With a Kendo Stick in hand, Bad Bunny didn’t let the beatdown continue on Mysterio. He proceeded to strike until Priest escaped the scene. As his former friend was seen escaping through the crowd, the celebrity rapper grabbed the mic and issue a challenge for WWE Backlash 2023,

“Hey Damian, I don’t know if you know, but I’m not hosting Backlash anymore. Now, I’m going to Puerto Rico to kick your ass. May 6, Backlash, en mi casa Puerto Rico. Damian Priest. Bad Bunny. In a Street Fight.”

This gimmick match was later made official by the WWE on its official website as well as on its social media account. For weeks, the Grammy Award-winning recording artist Bad Bunny was promoted to host WWE Backlash 2023 but now he is also confirmed to compete in the third-only match of his WWE career.
