Zelina Vega returned to WWE in 2021 after she was let go by the company back in 2020 for violating their policies regarding signing up to third-party sites. Vince McMahon was irate after she opened an OnlyFans account despite the rules intact. However, the huge fan of the pop culture, especially the Anime genre was brought back to the company and now she’s gunning for a championship at WWE Backlash 2023.

Speaking about this title match at WWE Backlash 2023 and her current collaboration with the LWO, Vega expressed her gratitude for the situation in a conversation with Busted Open Radio,

“It’s surreal, it’s an honor, it’s a blessing. There’s a lot of things that I wasn’t expecting. Of course, when you get started in this business, you want to make your mark. You want to make history. You want to be in the WWE history books, and you just don’t know how that’s going to happen, especially since so many firsts were taken. I didn’t think there was any left. But to be the first ever Queen of the Ring and the first ever woman in LWO is just mind-blowing to me.” (quotes courtesyWrestling INC)
