WWE Backstage news on Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar’s return 1

It was purely his idea to turn WWE into Roman Empire, post-John Cena era as the franchise is heading slowly into the twilight of his career. Previously, WWE fans were not keen to see Roman as the face and a lot of people from WWE Creative including COO Triple H was in favor of turning the brethren Dean Ambrose or Roman turning into heels but McMahon stuck into his position which finally came into fruition post-Survivor Series picture.

Finally, the vicious and much-needed beatdown of Triple H at TLC came as a way to cement Reigns as a babyface fan favorite. Mr.McMahon himself showed up the day Reigns won the WWE world championship gold and played his part effectively to create the hype for Reigns.

WWE Backstage news on Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar’s return 2

To pull up the ratings, Brock Lesnar is an instant cure and the backstage news is that there was an initial plan to make the beast appear in TLC PPV and push him into the title picture, but the creative could not come to the terms with the plan.

Lesnar is still in contract with WWE for working in selected occasions and making him work extra days means WWE have to pay him extra, but Lesnar’s brand name comes up every time when it comes to the TV ratings. The rumor is Lesnar may show up in the Royal Rumble event in January.
