WWE Backstage update: Edge and Christian to be back soon
As highlighted in the WWE Network and in between the pay-per-views in recent times WWE will be back with one of their original programs i.e. the “Edge and Christian show that totally reeks of awesomeness” featuring the former tag team champions Edge and Christian. Last year, we got the first edition of the show on Smackdown’s 15th-anniversary celebration whereas this time the show is set to begin in January 2016 and promises to be an entertainment themed show around wrestling.
Reports are coming that they had not shot any episodes till date but will attend the Stamford, CT, the headquarters of the WWE in the next month to finalize the contents prior to the episode shoot. The primary talks are that the show will be around the daily workings going on the headquarters of the Sports Entertainment.
The blueprints around the show were done when the duo appeared on the Stone Cold podcast earlier this year, live on WWE Network. The Creative was pleased enough to do something with them and the entertainment they can bring in to the table as we have seen before when they were full-time wrestlers.
The show will feature the WWE headquarters, some hilarious WWE old clippings, the reaction to it and possibly some on shoot clippings. It would be interesting to see if any other superstar will appear in the show too.
Speaking of shooting Edge has already made a name of himself after featuring in the series like Haven and now as the villain in “The Flash”.
Edge has also commented on his new career “I’m still laughing at the end of a 14-hour day. Before, at the end of a 14-hour day, I’m driving to the next town after having just fallen off a ladder. Now I get to go back to a trailer where there’s a meal waiting for me? Yeah, I can handle that.”
