WWE News: Batista Revealed What Could Take Him Back to the WWE
Batista was last seen in the WWE in 2014. He was back in the company around the Royal Rumble season that year to win the match and headline Wrestlemania alongside Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton. The stint failed to a bigger extent, as the fans were not happy to see him stealing the spotlight from the then hot favourite, Daniel Bryan.
The Animal received a lot of negative reactions from the fans on a regular basis that led to a quick end to his returning stint. He left the company after the Payback PPV in 2014. Since then, he was never seen in WWE programming. Instead, he went to make more name for himself in his Hollywood career.
Recently, Batista talked to Jim Ross’ podcast The Ross Report where he opened up about coming back to the WWE for one last stint. He sounded quite positive while talking about the return. The condition he laid down for this is a feud against Triple H. he wants this because he believes that a program with legendary superstar would wipe out his ring rust after being away from wrestling for a significant amount of time.
The former world champion also noted he is interested in a full-fledged stint in the company rather than a one-off appearance. He wants to work on a full-time basis including performing at the house shows.
However, he also mentioned this might cause a barrier for him while filming movies in the future. So, he does not want to get hurt, at all during the process. It is to be noted Batista has become a quite reputed name in Hollywood with the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise under his belt. He would continue to pursue more of the film career that was another reason for quitting WWE.
While leaving the company, he expressed his desire to be part of a program with Triple H. Apparently; he wanted the match to happen at Summerslam 2014. It would have helped his first movie for the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. But, for some reasons, the creative team did not want to make the feud happen, and he left.
