The post-Wrestlemania episode of Smackdown Live was the very best of this year. It had multiple twists and turns which were pretty obvious in this particular edition.

The anticipation was quite bigger considering the superstar shakeup is coming up. This edition from the Smoothie King Center lived up to all the expectations as we have received a new general manager of the show as well as a new Women’s Champion.

The previous advertisements from the venue suggested that we will be having a Smackdown women’s championship match on the night.

It turned out to be in a much surprising capacity as the Money in the Bank briefcase was finally cashed in, successfully.

Charlotte Flair emerged from the ring remembering the precious Wrestlemania 34 moments.

She accomplished the unthinkable on last Sunday Night when she defeated Asuka to retain her title. This was the match where the undefeated streak of the WWE Raw superstar, came to an end.

Furthermore, she also tapped out to the Queen of the WWE.

Going forward, Charlotte needed a new opponent for her title. So, he issued a challenge to anybody in the locker room to come down and accept that.

A major surprise was waiting as Billie Kay and Peyton Royce from the NXT roster showed up in the scene. It was their very first night on the main roster.

Keeping their heel gimmick intact, they took fewer times to pounce on Charlotte Flair.

A two-on-one attack occurred on the show as The Queen was laid down on her back on the mat. This was the perfect setup for Carmella to come out with the Money in the Bank briefcase and cash it in on the champion who was literally unconscious.

The exact same happened on Smackdown as Carmella came down with the referee and started the match, instantly.

A single kick to the head was enough to put away the genetically superior athlete. So, via clean pinfall, the princess of Staten Island became the new women’s champion on the show.

This might be an angle to send Charlotte Flair on WWE Raw now that the superstar shakeup is coming back. She is done taking on almost each of the superstars of the blue brand.

Moving forward to the flagship show will give more options for the creative team.
