It is quite often that WWE hosts live events at the Madison Square Garden Arena which is often considered as the greatest venue of them all in the New York City.
WWE has stopped holding televised episodes of Raw or PPV events in this particular arena due to heavy costing processes. But, they come back to this venue with non-televised house shows comprising both Raw and Smackdown Live stars.
One of such special shows will be held on the road to Wrestlemania which is expected to be a grand affair with the biggest names appearing under the same roof.
On March 16th, the special MSG show will take place. To sell the tickets in this venue, WWE has started advertising a big match on the evening.
According to the reports of wrestlingINC.com, John Cena and Nikki Bella will team up for the first-time since Wrestlemania 33 in mixed tag team action.
The elder Bella has been on a hiatus since then owing to her neck injury except for that one-off appearance in the Royal Rumble match for the women’s division.
In this house show, the team of Cena and Nikki Bella will take one against Elias and Bayley. The latter mentioned team is a performer in the Mixed Match Challenge, as well.
Previously, John Cena was scheduled to take on Elias in a singles competition. But, this new matchup will garner huge attention, for sure.
Another thing to be noted is that Nikki Bella’s inclusion in the house show schedule which is an indication that she would be back onboard in the company.
Previously, she intended to return to either Raw or Smackdown Live brand in 2018. The same happened during the Royal Rumble match but we did not know her status.
With this match being advertised, it is certain that she will be a part of WWE’s storyline process in the near future. It is not clear, although in which brand she will be a part of or what her potential role is going to be.
But, the Bella Army will surely love this news. Furthermore, this match also takes out the rumors those are up on the internet suggesting a conflict between the power couple of the WWE.
