There have already been several WWE Championships that have either been reintroduced or merged in recent times on WWE programming. A new undisputed title was given to Roman Reigns on Smackdown while Raw received his own World Heavyweight Title. WWE Women’s and NXT Tag Team Championships will soon be unified while the Raw Women’s Title was retired.
This past Friday on Smackdown, the WWE Women’s Championship made its way back to TV. The expectation is that a new Women’s World Title will soon be unveiled on Raw replacing the Smackdown Women’s Title. A new set of Undisputed Tag Team Titles are also reportedly waiting to be unveiled. With so many WWE Championships being streamlined, the question is how the management is coming up with the ideas.

According to Fightful Select, the decision to present Asuka with a WWE Women’s Championship replacing the Raw Women’s Championship was made to rectify the situation caused by the Draft. The Raw and Women’s Championships shifted brands and the officials didn’t want the two WWE Championships to get swapped like earlier times.
WWE opted to return to the original Women’s Championship, and in addition, the belt was re-designed to look a similar way to the new Undisputed WWE Universal Championship recently given to Roman Reigns. Similarly, when the Women’s World Title will debut, it should look similar to the World Heavyweight Championship held by Seth Rollins.
Two more WWE Championships ready to be unified
Moving on, the Women’s Tag Team Championship and WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships are two WWE Championships to be present on the main roster following the 2023 Draft. This is the reason that WWE will host a title unification match on the June 23 episode of SmackDown.
Per the reports of Fightful, after the titles are merged, the Women’s Tag Team titles will revert to their original plan, which is to see them getting defended across Raw, Smackdown, and NXT. This way WWE CEO Nick Khan will also be able to establish NXT as the recognized third brand of the WWE.
Nick always wanted it to be that way and more WWE Championships from the main roster could appear on Tuesday nights to prove the legitimacy of the fact. Most recently, Bron Breakker called out Seth Rollins for a World Heavyweight Title match defense which might also go down, sooner.
