Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair was unable to attend last week’s episode of Smackdown Live due to an injury. We had no clue whatsoever with it until it was confirmed on WWE.com just prior to the show.

The fans were quite concerned after hearing the news since we are merely some days away from Wrestlemania where her title would be on the line.

A dream match against Asuka is scheduled on the show which looked jeopardized owing to this injury.

However, we were reassured that The Queen would be back quickly in a time of just one week. Kurt Angle gave the news on last week’s episode of Mixed Match Challenge.

It is to be noted that Charlotte Flair and Bobby Roode reached the finale of the tournament. They were scheduled to face the team of The Miz and Asuka in the last match.

So, as confirmed earlier by the WWE.com, the genetically superior athlete was back on track, last night overcoming the injury.

Furthermore, she was also scheduled to face long-term rival, Natalya in a match that was canceled, last week. She walked out on Smackdown Live in a warm reception from the crowd to start the contest in the second segment of the show.

The beginning of the match fell short with some botched moved but it later picked up.

The Queen took control of the match by delivering the pendant Flair chop moves in the midst of the WOO chants. Then she went for the mind-boggling moon assault from the top rope which was countered as Nattie put her legs into the way.

Both women went for clotheslines and downed each other.

Carmella’s music hit the arena as she walked out with a referee indicating to cash-in the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Charlotte Flair saw it coming and threw the briefcase from her. Thereafter she delivered a big boot to the face of Carmella. The bell never rang and hence the cash-in never happened.

Charlotte locked in the Figure Eight on the downed Natalya to emerge victorious in the contest. After the match, Asuka walked out to confront the genetically superior athlete saying that she is might not be ready for the undefeated one.

A stand-off between these two hyped up the upcoming title match, even more.
