In the opening match of Clash at the Castle 2022, the team of Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY defeated RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka in a six-woman tag team match. This was a much-needed win for the heel faction after coming up short in the final match of the WWE Women’s tag team championship tournament, this past Monday night on Raw.
2-Time WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart was shown in attendance for the six-woman tag match at Clash at the Castle 2022 which witnessed some back-and-forth action. There was a moment where SKY dived off the top rope to take down Asuka and Bliss off their feet outside the ring.

Belair was left alone in the ring against the three heels that literally pounced on her. After delivering a moonsault, Bayley pinned RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair to pick up the win for his team. Although this was a tag team match at Clash at the Castle 2022, Bayley can definitely gun for a championship match opportunity from Belair after pinning the latter.

Meanwhile, Bayley, Iyo Sky, and Dakota Kai are officially known as Damage Control. The name has been indicated before on social media and in numerous reports but WWE only made it official during Clash at the Castle 2022 with their entrance music and graphics. Previously, the name CONTROL was suggested but then the name was altered as WWE also filed a trademark for it.

Interestingly, fans on social media found out quickly during Clash at the Castle 2022 that Damage Control is the name of a construction company appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. This company generally repairs the property damage caused by wars ensued between superheroes and supervillains.
The trio of Bayley, Iyo, and Kai was formed at July’s SummerSlam premium live event. Since then, they’ve been making their presence known with backstage attacks and specifically going after the Raw Women’s Champion.
After this big win at Saturday’s Clash at the Castle 2022 premium live event, they should be given a lot of momentums on Raw. It’s likely that Bayley will automatically be declared as the new challenger for Belair after getting the clean pinfall win over the champion.
