Rollins was out to prove Stephanie and Triple H wrong by winning the title. But, Owens took the upper hand by attacking Rollins’ surgically repaired knee. Owens hit the Cannonball twice and tried to follow it with a senton on the Spanish announce table but got nobody instead. Rollins capitalized by hitting the pedigree but Jericho interfered and broke the pinfall. In the chaos, the referee got down and Stephanie brought another referee. Rollins was distracted as Owens connected with the Pop-up powerbomb to retain his title at Clash of Champions.
