The Clash of Champions featured most of the rematches from the past but was executed in a right way which should be enough to make it a success. The opener was quite good in a matchup between Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder. It was good to see Mojo getting a new theme and finishing manoeuvre which is likely to give him a solo push.
The main show kick-off was more than good with a triple threat match for the US title. All the competitors in it were in offensive mode to bring on the fight. The result pleased the critics since Dolph Ziggler needed a title run at this point in his career. If he gets a strong run with the title, he will be able to push himself back to the top of the chain.
Helluva triple threat opener in Boston tonight. Corbin looked like a beast, Roode has never been more popular on the main roster and Dolph got a much-needed shot in the arm. Good stuff. #WWEClash

Following this, the tag team match turned out to be quite interesting with Rusev and Aiden English going over with the crowd by their funny antics. The audience wanted that these two pick up the titles, but it did not happen that way. However, if the crowd continues to back them up, they are likely to get the titles, sooner.
The Aiden English-Rusev act is one of the funnest things about #Smackdown right now, what a comeback story for both guys, especially English, on the main roster. #WWEClash

The reaction from the Boston crowd was pretty good for the Bludgeon Brothers, whereas, a new angle was found with Natalya’s post-match speech. Most probably, it will confirm her final run in the company after spending one decade, here.
Story-based tag match that was all about continuing the build to an eventual showdown perhaps between Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon. Getting close to Wrestlemania 34, hmmm………..#WWEClash

The result of the tag team match was pretty expected, as well. It was evident that Daniel Bryan called down the match with Shane McMahon trying to screw Zayn and Owens. The focus was on the ongoing rivalry between the authority figures that might culminate a match in future.
Overall, #WWEClash, while brandishing a very good main event, a hot opener and a nice continuation of the Bryan-Shane story, was mostly an extended episode of #SDLive than a PPV. Little whimper to end 2017 on PPV for #WWE.

In the main event, it was the best match delivered by Jinder Mahal that will ensure his run as the top heel of the blue brand. Styles might have retained the title with Wrestlemania season well on his way, but Mahal’s performance left the audience talking. Overall, Clash of Champions delivered to a big extent and turned out to be a successful event. Check out the Twitter reactions, here,

I’ll never take ANYTHING away from a competitor, especially one like @natbynature. Tonight wasn’t just a title defense. It was about planting my flag in the ground. Anyone…ANYONE in the locker room wants to challenge me? Let’s do it. #WWEClash
