WWE Clash Of Champions 2020 is merely three weeks away in the WWE calendar. It is an old-school pay-per-view event and the only night of the year where every title from the WWE roster is guaranteed to be defended. This is the catchline of the promotional strategy of the PPV, at least whether the company follows the rule or not.

With that being said, it might be just a matter of time that another title match from SmackDown gets added to the Clash Of Champions 2020 card. The Intercontinental Championship Match will likely to be announced for the PPV show, soon. Jeff Hardy is the current champion with a couple of people gunning for the belt which makes this a three-way scenario.

AJ Styles wants his rematch against Jeff Hardy that he never received. This is a point the Phenomenal One is trying to make from the get-go. At the same time, Sami Zayn recently returned with his own Intercontinental Title because his championship was stripped and he never lost the belt, technically, giving us a preview for Clash Of Champions 2020.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer informed that Sami Zayn and AJ Styles are likely to find themselves in a triple threat match with Jeff Hardy at Clash Of Champions 2020. These three opponents under the triple threat no-DQ rules will tear the house down whereas the challengers won’t have anything to complain about.

Sami Zayn decided to keep himself in quarantine rather than traveling to the Performance Center for tapings amid this coronavirus pandemic. He doesn’t consider Jeff Hardy to the real champion. Meanwhile, Jeff Hardy considered his fifth IC Title win to be a big moment of his career to achieve in the ThunderDome. It’ll be interesting to see whether he can keep the championship intact on his shoulder at Clash Of Champions 2020.

The former champion AJ Styles lost his Intercontinental Championship to Jeff Hardy during WWE’s debut night at the ThunderDome. While speaking about the current title scenario on SmackDown, he also thought a triple threat could be a good idea for WWE Clash Of Champions 2020.

“Well, it seems like it’s going that way. You have to realize that AJ Styles gets a rematch. Does the match happen between Hardy and Zayn or do we figure out who the real champion is. If I let Sami Zayn – and I’m just throwing this out there – I don’t know what’s happening either, but I’m just throwing this out there. If Zayn beats Jeff Hardy, then I get my rematch against Sami and I beat him, of course, but he has an excuse.”

“If I get my rematch against Jeff Hardy and beat him, then he has an excuse,” AJ continued. “There’s no excuses. So, being the bigger man that I am, shouldn’t it just be a triple threat? That’s how I feel about it.”
