Most of the WWE Universe members did not want to see the Crown Jewel PPV event, at all. Despite the star-studded affair it was, there was average anxiousness around the show. The Jamal Khashoggi incident was the sole reason behind that. Well the USA fans might have got one more reason in addition to that when Hulk Hogan made his return at the beginning of the show.

WWE feared to bring the superstar back into WWE TV accused with racism scandal in a show hosted around the USA. Saudi Arabia fans were happy to see him and gave the legend a standing ovation. It’s for these loud reactions only that we thought that the event should become a success. But except for a couple of matches, Crown Jewel was a complete joke in terms of booking.

John Cena, Daniel Bryan, and Roman Reigns were not present at the Crown Jewel show. But we expected that the booking of the world cup tournament would save the day for us. Dream scenarios were visible in front of us like Rollins-Angle, Hardy-Mysterio, Rollins-Mysterio or even more. But then you would book The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler as the final match.

To make things worse was Shane McMahon winning the world cup after The Miz needed medical attention. He was not there for the entire tournament and just picked up the cup just due to his marquee presence on Crown Jewel. Giving Dolph Ziggler the world cup would have been a far better idea. After serving the company for such a long time, he deserved to steal the show at least for once.

WWE fans could not be unhappier to see Brock Lesnar back on top on WWE Raw, again. He won the Universal Championship for a second time just to keep the prestigious title off the show for a long time. WWE needed a strong champion as a new guard of Monday Night Raw in Reigns’ absence. It’s hard to believe that a part-time player would try to fill up his shoes, going forward.

The only good thing about the main event match at Crown Jewel was to see Shawn Michaels back in action. It was good to see the all-time great tuning up the band, once again. He did not look like dealing with ring-rust as well. But The Undertaker has clearly moved out of his prime. He could barely move properly presenting him as a slow worker throughout the match. No wonder why WWE chose him to lose two back to back matches in global PPVs.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to Crown Jewel PPV event that failed to deliver any good impact on the fans,
