Crown Jewel 2022 is going to be the latest installment in the titular chronology set from Saudi Arabia. Given the tradition of the WWE, the next Saudi show will be no different than the previous ones those were Wrestlemania-caliber shows. The top-most superstars as well as outside mainstream performers will be in attendance to make it a night to remember.
There have been speculations about Brock Lesnar possibly returning to perform at Crown Jewel 2022 and sources like Ringside News has confirmed the same in recent times. The ten-time world champion is WWE’s top attraction for the Saudi shows and he hasn’t missed one since WWE’s deal with the country began in 2018. The belief is that he will be there for the next installment, as well.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Brock Lesnar’s opponent for Crown Jewel 2022 could be UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier. This could be the reason that WWE has contacted the former UFC Champion appeared, live via satellite on this week’s Raw. Cormier is also set to make his WWE debut at the Extreme Rules 2022 premium live event, serving as the Special Guest Referee for the Fight Pit Match between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle.

Thereafter, Lesnar vs. Cormier at Crown Jewel 2022 in Saudi Arabia won’t be a surprise booking as WWE booked a similar kind of match between two former UFC Champions at Crown Jewel 2019 – Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez. Velasquez defeated Lesnar to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship in 2010 and Lesnar got his revenge 9 years after that bout.
A UFC Heavyweight Championship was reportedly set to happen between Cormier and Lesnar in the summer of 2018, but Lesnar decided to stay retired from MMA. He never stepped back into the Octagon for a fight since July 2016.
Only time will tell whether WWE Crown Jewel 2022 will witness the mega match between these two former UFC champs or not. The premium live event is scheduled to take place Saturday, November 5th, 2022 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from a venue that’s yet to be confirmed. Roman Reigns (c) vs. Logan Paul for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship is the only match, an official for the PLE.
