For the second time, the already announced WWE Championship match at WWE Day 1 PPV has gone through a change. From a singes contest, it became a Triple Threat but now it will be a Fatal-4-Way encounter where WWE Champion Big E defends against Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, and Bobby Lashley.
Lashley and MVP kicked off this week’s RAW from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota as MVP demanded Lashley to be added to the WWE Championship match at WWE Day 1. Kevin Owens came out and said both he and Seth Rollins earned their shot to the WWE Title match while Lashley hadn’t.
WWE Day 1: Raw Women’s Title Rematch Officially Announced
Seth Rollins interrupted and claimed how both Lashley and Owens don’t deserve to be in his WWE Title match in the first place. Lashley said if they don’t like the idea, they should get in the ring and do something about it. WWE Champion Big E also came out and wished to beat up Owens inside a Steel Cage, again.
WWE Officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville then came out and announced that if Lashley can defeat Big E, Rollins, and Owens in three different singles matches, then he’ll get added to the WWE Championship match at WWE Day 1.
Lashley then first defeated Owens, with Owens quickly submitting to The Hurt Lock submission maneuver to avoid any kind of injury ahead of the WWE Day 1 PPV event. Later, Lashley defeated Rollins, in a match that was re-started after Owens intentionally helped out Rollins to cause the disqualification and thereby keep Lashley out of the title picture. Lashley then speared Rollins for an easy win.

Then on the RAW main event, Lashley defeated Big E in another No-DQ affair. E and Lashley fought off Owens and Rollins as they wanted a clean finish. But MVP came from behind and hit E on the knees with his stick. Lashley capitalized and hit a Spear on E to get the win and cement his spot on WWE Day 1.
