There have been uncountable occasions of Dolph Ziggler being misused in the roster. This man is a true veteran in all the way especially after spending a decade in the company.

Despite being one of the most technically gifted athletes in the entire division, he did not receive the position that he deserved.

The United States Championship win back at the Clash of Champions PPV was supposed to be his a rebirth of his drowning WWE career. But, the very next night, he decided to drop the title and walked away from the blue brand boasting about how good he is.

It was thought to be an interesting storyline to keep him off the TV to bring him back in the midst of tremendous rounds of applause.

However, that was not the case as Dolph Ziggler was brought back to enter the Royal Rumble match at number 30. After spending only 1 minute and 30 seconds, he was eliminated from the match creating the least impact expected.

It was completely a waste of booking for this talented person. Now, he is going to resurface on the blue brand, once again with a match being confirmed for next week’s show.

As per the advertisement, Dolph Ziggler will face Baron Corbin in a singles competition after coming back.

This announcement is an impromptu one and no whatsoever storyline angle attached to it which is why it does not make any sense to use the former world champion in such capacity.

We will see the way the show-off will be used on the show, next week. Ziggler has faced the Lone Wolf on a hundred occasions, prior to this which is why the audience should not be so much excited about this match unless this gets hosted in an interesting way. The only curiosity would be to know about Ziggler’s status on the brand.

The former United States Champion has started to adapt to a ‘no-gimmick’ gimmick, for the last few months.

It will be interesting to see whether that continues or not. Plus, he will be competing against a heel superstar which is why perhaps a babyface turn is evident for him.

We will get to know more about these speculations when Smackdown comes live on February 13th night.
