In continuation of Friday’s Smackdown, Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque kicked off WWE Raw to get some ground rules around WWE Draft 2023 off his chest before revealing the first-round picks for the evening. But before he could get down with the process, he announced something interesting regarding Brock Lesnar.

It was noted by the head of the WWE Creative Team that The Beast Incarnate had “renegotiated his status as a free agent” and this notion will make him eligible to appear on both Raw and SmackDown following the WWE Draft 2023.

There are a number of free agents left in the Draft pool and Lesnar is undeniably the most notable name among them. The group of free agents included Dolph Ziggler, Mustafa Ali, Omos alongside his manager MVP, Von Wagner, Elias, Emma, Johnny Gargano, Nikki Cross, Piper Niven, and more. These names could be picked in the future as WWE Draft would continue on Raw Talk just like a few picks were announced on Smackdown LowDown.
Brock Lesnar to collide with Cody Rhodes at Backlash
The picks made official during WWE Draft 2023 would be effective following WWE Backlash 2023 set for this weekend. On that night, Brock Lesnar is set to battle Raw roster member star Cody Rhodes in the main event of the PLE. The American Nightmare is looking to seek revenge after getting destroyed by The Beast on the Raw after WrestleMania 39.

After coming up short to defeat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, Rhodes was schooled by Lesnar as the latter made him believe in a tag team featuring the duo. The former ten-time world champion later pummeled him with a series of suplexes and F5s on Raw followed by an attack with a steel chair and steps.
Moving on, Cody Rhodes was picked by WWE Raw as the second overall pick during WWE Draft 2023 Night One on Smackdown. Rhodes’ ‘Mania opponent, Roman Reigns was the first pick to be retained on Smackdown.
