This week’s edition of SmackDown kicked off the WWE Draft 2023 edition in the form of the Night One of the shakeup process. In totality, 16 picks were made from both Raw and Smackdown brands in four separate rounds. The yet-to-be-picked superstars were left in an undrafted stage. On tomorrow’s Smackdown LowDown, their fate could be decided.
Multiple call-ups were there from the WWE NXT brand to the main roster during WWE Draft 2023. Also, there were a number of Hall of Famers on the show to announce the Draft picks. The night started with Hall of Famer and head of the WWE creative team, Triple H as he declared the first-round draft picks.

Apart from the appearances of Hall of Famers, a major surprise on WWE Draft 2023 was the returning AJ Styles. Since getting injured in December of 2022, the former WWE Champion returned with Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson & “Michin” Mia Yim and took out The Viking Raiders & Valhalla.
While some of the NXT Superstars were reportedly present, backstage on Smackdown, they didn’t appear live on TV during the show. WWE Draft 2023 will be wrapped up this coming Monday Night, May 2 on Raw from the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The changes on the rosters will come into effect on May 8 Raw during the post-Backlash episode.
