WWE Draft 2023 returns, tonight and there have been a lot of plans to be executed in the so-called biggest Draft in the company’s history. Generally, this event excites the fans with the thought of a potential shakeup of the roster while this year, the excitement could be bigger given that Triple H is in full command of executing the plans.
Things for WWE Draft 2023 kicks off tonight on Friday Night SmackDown from the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas and it will continue on May 1 during Monday’s Raw at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. It’s really hard to guess whose name will be called and which superstar will end up on which brand.

A Former Champion returning at Draft?
Rumors are available for the Draft nights which indicates that a long-awaited return could be happening in the form of Big E. The former WWE Champion is expected to return during one of the nights of WWE Draft 2023, as per the reports from WRKD Wrestling,
“One name rumored to return during the upcoming Draft is former WWE Champion, Big E. Big E has been sidelined with a major neck injury since March ‘22.”
NXT Battleground 2023: WWE NXT Championship Match Challenge Issued
After breaking his neck last year prior to Wrestlemania 38, E has been out of action but he didn’t have to perform surgery on the neck. This brightened the chances of a quick in-ring return but there’s no update on whether WWE officials had cleared him for in-ring competition or that he will make only a non-physical appearance during WWE Draft 2023.

A Hall of Famer expected at WWE Draft 2023
PWInsider is reporting another major surprise for the night where WWE Hall of Famer, and perhaps the greatest SmackDown General Manager of all time, Teddy Long will be on the show to play the host of WWE Draft 2023 as he could be announcing the Draft picks for RAW and SmackDown.
In more updates, Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that several NXT Superstars are reportedly in line for main roster call-ups. Some of those names have also been revealed as they reported the following,
“Ilja Dragunov is a name that was pitched to potentially join the main roster for the draft. We can confirm PWinsider’s report that Pretty Deadly were pitched as well. Tyler Bate has also been pitched, per WRKD Wrestling.”
