WWE Elimination Chamber 2017: Full Match Card, Preview And Predictions

It was good to see Smackdown setting up the final line-ups for the Elimination Chamber PPV within just two weeks after Royal Rumble PPV. Ever since the brand split happened, the blue brand has literally dominated the brand-exclusive PPV scenes and this time it’s no different with a stacked match card. Apart from the interesting matches, the name Elimination Chamber is always an attraction to the crowd. Since the beginning, the chamber match has given us some epic title changes and we are looking forward to the same heading towards it, this year too. The demonic structure will be back at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona and here’s what we can expect on the night.

Becky Lynch vs. Mickie James

The team of babyfaces i.e. Nikki, Naomi and Becky Lynch has picked up the win at Royal Rumble. Quite obviously, it is time for the heels to settle the score. Hence, Mickie James should pick up a dirty win here after Lynch is done with her straight fire. However, the veteran has returned to put over new talents on Smackdown and hence this rivalry will continue until Lynch wins it later in near future.

Prediction: Mickie James picks up a win but the rivalry continues

Nikki Bella vs. Natalya

As stated earlier, the babyface team has earned the victory during the last PPV and so here they should take an L. Natalya has been dominating Nikki in their war of words and this should remain the same during the match Elimination Chamber, as well. Nikki would also sell her injury suffered this past week’s Talking Smack show which might force her to digest the loss against her nemesis. This would further help WWE to set up an injury angle for her going into Wrestlemania which would is also supposed to sideline her for a while after the show.

Prediction: Natalya wins this one

Tag team turmoil (Smackdown tag team championship)

As per turmoil rules, this match will be contested as a gauntlet match where random entries will be made after one team is pinned. Now, this match was arranged to give some credit to American Alpha’s title reign, finally.  So, there’s no way that they are going to lose the contest. The contest will come down to the champions vs. the Usos. The champs will retain it to pick up a rivalry with the Samoan brothers going forward to the Wrestlemania season.

Prediction: American Alpha remain Smackdown Tag Team champions

Apollo Crews and Kalisto vs. Dolph Ziggler

Ziggler is back with his heel antiques and it’s so good to look at. His nasty deeds continue every week on Smackdown Live culminating this two-on-one handicap match at Elimination Chamber. This was done purely to concrete the villainous acts of the show-off. Hence, he will pull off an upset by defeating them. After somehow getting rid of Crews, he will pin Kalisto to pick up the win.

Prediction: Dolph Ziggler pulls off a shocker to make his heel persona stronger

Randy Orton vs. Luke Harper

Orton joining the Wyatt family made Harper disconnected with his mentor resulting this matchup which is much personal. Since, Harper is out for a solo run, a victory over the Viper would do him a huge favor. However, we all know that’s not how WWE works. The Apex Predator is the Royal Rumble winner and there’s no way that he is going to lose his momentum. Hence, he will walk out as the clear winner and will be waiting for his Wrestlemania opponent.

Prediction: Orton picks up a clear victory

Alexa Bliss vs. Naomi (SmackDown Women’s Championship)

So, ‘a nobody’ Naomi returned to Smackdown Live and picked up two straight wins over the champion to get this match at Elimination Chamber. It was good to see that the incredible athlete is getting some recognition on the main roster. However, she is not going to pick up the win. Mickie James should come out at some point to throw some shenanigans outside the ring via which Alexa Bliss will retain her championship. The rivalry should continue for a while since Naomi will look for a rematch in near future.

Prediction: Alexa Bliss will retain via help from Mickie James

Elimination Chamber match (WWE championship)

The winner for the Elimination Chamber is very obvious and that is Bray Wyatt unless Vince McMahon sticks to his business of letting the big names holding the championships towards Wrestlemania. From the lineup, it’s quite clear that Ambrose and Styles will digest most of the shots from the chamber structure where Wyatt and Miz will be trying to capitalize on it. Corbin will be the muscle factor into the match where Cena should be the target. It should come down to Cena and Bray Wyatt at the end where Orton might show up to create the distraction for Cena which will Wyatt win his first prime title in the WWE. This will set up Orton vs. Wyatt for the WWE championship at the showcase of immortals.

Prediction: Bray Wyatt wins the WWE championship pinning John Cena
