The penultimate pay-per-view before Wrestlemania 35 is almost upon us in the form of Elimination Chamber. It is one of the most popular gimmick based pay-per-view events in the history of the company. The infamous steel cage structure founded with tins of steel surrounds the ring for the main event bouts creating a dangerous environment.
Shane McMahon to find his Wrestlemania opponent at Elimination Chamber?
Plans for Women’s tag titles after Elimination Chamber
But the prize is worth as you get to walk out of Elimination Chamber with championships around your shoulder. This year, two such matches are in the card. One will crown the inaugural women’s tag team championships whereas the other determines the WWE Champion. Plus, three more titles will be on the line along with a No Disqualification contest.
Will Daniel Bryan retain at Elimination Chamber?
You just can’t miss this one night of the year featuring the Elimination Chamber matches. The Toyota Center in Houston, Texas will be the host of the shows. WWE Network will broadcast the night live from 5.30 AM on February 18th (as per India time zone). Here is the match card of the second PPV of 2019 with predictions.
WWE Intercontinental Championship Handicap match
Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush vs. Finn Balor
Prediction- The match stipulation suggests that Finn Balor has to pin any one of them to win the Intercontinental title. This makes the task easy as he can pin Rush easily to get the job done. But it is not likely that WWE would book such a finish that can harm Balor’s caliber. We expect Lashley will continue his title reigns as well as the feud against Balor. He is likely to get a win via cheapshot or DQ to set up a rematch at Fastlane.
No Disqualifications match
Braun Strowman vs. Baron Corbin
Prediction-WWE has suddenly added the No Disqualification stipulation with this match for one reason only. Other superstars like Drew McIntyre or Kurt Angle could interfere in this match. They are not booked in any other matches at Elimination Chamber, either which means their presence is a must. McIntyre’s presence should give an advantage to Corbin who is the favorite to seek revenge on Strowman.
Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match
Shane McMahon & The Miz vs. The Usos
Prediction-There was a chance of The Usos taking the title away from the co-besties to create a rift. This could have set up a match between Shane McMahon and Ths Miz. But we doubt whether the match will have the same outcome following Jimmy Uso’s arrest. Instead, Shane and Miz should pick up a smooth win at Elimination Chamber to prove they are the ‘best tag team in the world.’
WWE Raw Women’s Championship match
Ronda Rousey vs. Ruby Riott
Prediction-Ronda Rousey is a clear-cut winner in this Elimination Chamber title match. The only thing that might throw away some resistance against her is the presence of Charlotte Flair at ringside. The recently turned heel might try to rob the champion through distractions. The Riott Squad will also accompany her in doing so. But you never know when Becky Lynch would invade the show helping Rousey to retain her championship.
Elimination Chamber Match For The WWE Championship
Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton vs. Samoa Joe vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Jeff Hardy
Prediction-Future booking of Wrestlemania will affect this match’s result, for sure. Right now the plan is to keep Daniel Bryan as the WWE Champion until April 7th. So he is the favorite to retain the title at Elimination Chamber. But Vince McMahon keeps on changing plans, all the times. So don’t be surprised to see AJ Styles recapturing the title. He might be gearing up for an upcoming feud with Randy Orton over it.
P.s.-Watch out for Kofi Kingston and Jeff Jardy to come up with mind-blowing sports during the match. The steel cage structure will allow them to perform some death-defying stunts for sure.
Can Sasha Banks perform at Elimination Chamber following injury?
Elimination Chamber Match For The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
Nia Jax & Tamina vs. Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose vs. The IIconics vs. Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan vs. Naomi & Carmella
Prediction-We wish the lineup for the historic Elimination Chamber tag team match could have been a better one. When you take a look at the teams, there’s one team that is clearly the favorites. The match result will also go in their favor as WWE could plan something big featuring them at Wrestlemania. Sasha Banks and Bayley are the confirmed history-makers by winning the inaugural women’s tag team championships. Jax and Tamina might throw some challenges but they are not likely to topple the Boss n Hug connection.
