WWE’s Elimination Chamber structure is returning, next month. Reports confirmed a PPV under the same name will go down but the structure should be back for a show to be hosted in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, now it’s being noted that there could be a change in the name of the structure.

Officials were looking forward to re-brand things for the Elimination Chamber and naming it to the WrestleMania Chamber, according to Dave Meltzer. It was noted that the name change is not official since it is just being considered. Until and unless WWE confirms it, nothing is finalized but by the name, the chamber structure will lock in Wrestlemania headlining participants.

No update is available whether the name change is evident since WWE taking the Elimination Chamber structure to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As of now, the reported plan is to bring back the infamous steel cage to the middle-east country for the next event held there, on Saturday, February 19. This also marks the next WWE Specials on the WWE Network following Royal Rumble 2022.

Elimination Chamber could have gone through a name-change

WWE started billing the Elimination Chamber event as “No Way Out” in Germany back in 2010, to avoid any connotations of gas chambers used in the Holocaust during World War II. The No Way Out term was also used for the PPV in 2009. The same name was used in 2012, but the event was renamed “No Escape” in 2011. The “No Escape” name was again used in 2013 in Germany and no changes have been noted for the structure in that country.

The final Elimination Chamber matches took place at the 2021 pay-per-view edition revolving around the structure. Daniel Bryan won the first Chamber match of the night from Smackdown to receive an immediate title shot from WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and he came up short to win the belt.

Then from the Raw brand, Drew McIntyre retained the WWE Title in the second Elimination Chamber match of the night. The last women’s Chamber match took place at the 2020 pay-per-view, where Shayna Baszler picked up the win for a title shot at WrestleMania 36. During that edition, The Miz and John Morrison also retained their SmackDown Tag Team Titles inside the cage structure.
