WWE: Extreme Rules 2017 Results: June 4th, 2017 1

The ninth edition of Extreme Rules PPV was hosted last night at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

A never-before-seen fatal-5-way main event took place at the PPV which has changed the course of the new era, for sure. Here are the full results from the Raw-exclusive PPV.

Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz (Intercontinental Championship)
Extreme Rules kicked off with the Intercontinental championship match. The Miz tried to take full advantage of the stipulation of the match by telling Maryse to slap him to the face. But, the referee ejected her from ringside. The Miz further pushed Ambrose to the referee to cause the distraction. This allowed him to connect with the Skull Crushing Finale for the win.

Rich Swann & Sasha Banks vs. Noam Dar & Alicia Fox
The babyface team picked up the win in this contest, as expected. After some back and forth going, Rich Swann hit with the Phoenix Splash from the top rope to pin Noam Dar and pick up the win.

The Hardy Boyz vs. Sheamus-Cesaro (Raw tag team championship)
Sheamus & Cesaro became new Raw tag team champions defeating the Hardy Boyz. After a hellacious battle between the two extremely physical teams the Professional Warriors managed to escape the cage first to win the contest.

Neville vs. Austin Aries (Cruiserweight Championship)
Neville retained the Cruiserweight title, yet again which was uncalled for. He picked up a clean win this time by locking in the Rings of Saturn to which Austin Aries tap out. It will be interesting to see what’s next for the champion.

Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss (Raw women’s championship)
The match between Alexa Bliss and Bayley turned out to be a short match quite surprisingly. Bliss continued with her momentum by using the Kendo Stick and connecting with the DDT. She got a clean pin to retain the Raw women’s championship.

Fatal-5-way match to determine no.1 contender for Universal Championship
The main event lived up to the hype with some major extreme moments. Samoa Joe and Bray Wyatt continued their unlikely alignment for the betterment. Finn Balor was the one standing tall at the end by hitting the Coup De Grace on Wyatt. But, Samoa Joe came up from behind and locked in the Coquina Clutch on Balor. He got choked letting Joe become the number one contender for the Universal Championship.
