Brock Lesnar has signed a new contract with the WWE. It will be running through at least the summer of this year.
Apart from it, the chances are quite high that he will be part of the main event scene at the upcoming SummerSlam even if it is a short-time contract. This is the particular event that saw him as the star attraction for the past four years.
If Lesnar continues to remain with the company, then it is certain that he will end up having another one, for sure. The question was that who’s going to be his next opponent.
Subsequently, we expected the rivalry against Roman Reigns to be over despite the controversial win at Greatest Royal Rumble even recently. WWE also started to find out the process of setting up his next opponent arranging a poll on its official website.
Bobby Lashley won it which was quite obvious. This is a dream feud for the fans since both of them are behemoth names from the MMA industry.
Furthermore, he won the mega match against Reigns in a clean way at the Extreme Rules proving that he is the right-most candidate for the beast incarnate.
Kurt Angle gave a threat to the Universal Champion (UC) to show up or else he could take the title away from him. This fueled up the chances of seeing Brock Lesnar back onboard on WWE Raw after a hiatus of multiple months.
The opening segment of WWE Raw witnessed Angle calling out the UC. He had the audacity of not letting the authority know about his whereabouts.
So, the general manager went straight to strip him of the prime championship. But Paul Heyman came to represent the champion, as always. He went on to defend his client by stating that he is willing to represent both WWE and UFC as the dual-branded champion.
Hence, it will be good for the company from a business point of view. But Angle ordered Heyman to show up at the SummerSlam – to defend his championship. It’s an ultimatum for the title if he wants to get hold of the title.
So, the advocate general for the beast incarnate has agreed to the terms. He confirmed that the Conqueror will return to the main event of Summerslam, next month.
