WWE Hall of Famer indicates Roman Reigns’ heel turn post-Wrestlemania
The argument of Roman Reigns being in the main event of Wrestlemania is still going on and the speculations are high that after winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the 3rd time, the reaction he will get from almost 1,00,000 people at the AT&T stadium. There are high probabilities of the jam-packed crowd booing him out of the stadium. Imagine the scenario of the present cornerstone of the company getting such an odd reaction from the crowd.
WWE was in planning to make him look like a “Stone Cold Steve Austin” like figure. He tried his very best and it’s not his fault completely that he could not live up to the expectations. The wrong bookings looked him like he was force-fed into being cheered by the WWE Universe. Now, that the show of shows has arrived, WWE desperately needs to save their Titanic from sinking by turning his heel. It has been felt for months now and it’s the only way to save his booed image. Perhaps, WWE Creative has been nurturing with it and that’s why recently they changed his entrance among the crowd.
WWE Hall of Famer and Roman’s own family member Rikishi has commented on that and made it simpler. He said: “I feel that, in due time, you’re gonna see Roman Reigns become Roman Empire. Let’s take it back to John Cena and Rock back in the day, when people felt like they were just shoved down their throats. Eventually, they earned the people’s respect, and the next thing you know, they were just loved by the whole world.”
“To me, you don’t want to go against the WWE Universe. You never want to do that. To me, what works is to go with the flow. If you have me so much like that, had it been me, I’d tell Vince, switch me heel right now. Let’s give it to these people. I’d be the worst frickin’ heel that they’d ever see. And in due time, you would hate me so much, when I do turn babyface, guess what, [you’d love me]. It’s a very simple fix.”
