WWE India show is barely a month away in the schedule and it will undoubtedly feature some of the talents from the subcontinent. The company considers India to be the largest market for them in terms of viewership and this is the reason a large-scale show is expected at the very beginning of next year.
The WWE India event is reportedly going to be a non-televised house show/WWE Live Event in January 2023 and Veer Mahaan is going to be a big part of it. However, the news is that Veer is currently dealing with an injury and that’s why WWE is keeping him out of action. WWE didn’t book The Creed Brothers vs. Indus Sher (Veer Mahaan and Sanga) for this sole reason.

Veer Mahaan removed from NXT match due to injury
Originally, this match was supposed to go down at NXT Deadline 2022 on December 10th but storyline-wise, Julius Creed is suffering from a rib injury and he was unable to compete on that night. In reality, Veer’s injury is the reason that held back that match from happening. It’s assumed that this injury isn’t that serious and he will recover in a month’s time so that he would wrestle in the WWE India event.
Veer Mahaan is expected to get healed by WWE India event
Wrestling Observer reported the following about Veer’s injury, spelling out that WWE India has a lot of money investments and the officials wants Veer in full force on that night, This is another reason that they’re not hurrying about the Indian Superstar to return to action on NXT,
“The reason here is Veer is injured. They’re trying to protect him because Veer and Sanga have to be healthy for that India show that’s built all around them in mid-January, and there’s a lot of money involved.
They basically can’t risk him being hurt to miss that show, so they pulled him from this (NXT) show.
From my understanding, he absolutely 100% could wrestle, but they are being extra cautious. Anybody else in this world would wrestle with this kind of injury. It’s like a broken finger or something.”
Indoor WWE show planned in Hyderabad, India

While nothing has been confirmed around the WWE India show, we can expect Drew McIntyre to be the main event attraction for the night if Roman Reigns opts not to perform. Additionally, several WWE Smackdown Superstars will be performing on the show since it’s going to be a blue brand special.
