The personal life of John Cena has always been colorful until now since he’s been living a married life although he never acknowledged it in public. The veteran WWE Superstar is very much private by nature but there was one point in life when his life became an open book through the Total Divas reality TV series.
Back then, John Cena was in a relationship with Nikki Bella that started in 2012. Moving into that phase of his career, the Boston native allegedly dated a former WWE Superstar and a female legend in Mickie James. The two had never spoken about it, openly but another former WWE Superstar confirmed the same.

During WWE’s Ruthless Aggression Era, Spirit Squad member Kenny Dykstra was engaged to Mickie James. They eventually got their separate ways. In 2012, Kenny accused John Cena of seeing her ex-flame. Per his words, Mickie’s WWE career went upward when he was seeing the franchise player of the company. Then it started going downhill once the relationship was over.
“She was googling Mickie James and John Cena dating. I asked why, she broke down crying. Then I heard more from others. She was checking to see if it was on the net yet. He was messing with MJ so I got moved to SmackDown so they could further mess. I jobbed, got fired. When MJ got crazy because he wouldn’t date her, she then got fired,” Kenny stated in a video uploaded via TMPT Empire of Podcasts.

Mickie James reacted to claims of dating John Cena
As stated above, John Cena never reacted to these allegations. Later in 2017, Mickie addressed Kenny’s claims during an interview with Lilian Garcia by making the following comments,
“As far as that whole thing with Ken, it was a shame that he went out and said the things that he did and did that, because I feel that a lot of it was a lie and it was mostly just kind of to help his book sales or whatever the case may be. But you know, it is what it is and you know, I’m a grown up.”
James has since moved on in her life. In December 2010, she started dating fellow professional wrestler Nick Aldis and on September 25, 2014, they had their first child, a boy named Donovan Patrick Aldis. James and Aldis got engaged in December 2014 and then tied the knot on December 31, 2015.
As for John Cena, she sparked a romantic connection in 2012 with Nikki Bella, after being done with his first marriage. The pair’s relationship was all over the news due to Total Divas. Back at Wrestlemania 33, The Cenation Leader proposed to Nikki in April 2017. However, within a year later, the duo called it a quit.
