WWE: John Morrison Reveals That He Pitched Two Gimmick Ideas In WWE

John Morrison had been a very familiar name among the wrestling fans. He had been a very successful wrestler in WWE since 2012. Right now he is working in the Lucha Underground and on the Independent Circuit under the name of Johnny Mundo.
Recently, he joined X Pac’s podcast where he revealed that he did propose two gimmick matches in the industry. He also revealed why he decided to leave WWE;
On a “Tanning Bed Match” vs Sheamus: “[E]very week I’d pitch something like, ‘I want to have a tanning bed match with Sheamus, loser gets locked in a tanning bed…I pitched the tanning bed idea to Vince (McMahon) and he laughed at it. I don’t know if he even thought I was serious. ..I wanted him (Sheamus) to come out looking like Brother Love covered in that red stuff.”
On a “Porta-Potty Match” vs The Miz: “I want to have a Porta Potty match with the Miz, to win you have to close someone in the Porta Potty and knock it over. I pitched these. I pitched all these ideas. It makes sense why like why you couldn’t do them”
“That was one of the reasons I left (WWE) I was always having all these ideas… Like every week I’d pitch something like, ‘I want to have a tanning bed match with Sheamus, loser gets locked in a tanning bed”
So he is upset because his ideas were laughed off by Vince McMahon. It is acceptable that he was coming up with some creative ideas and it was a good thing. But think honestly, were those ideas seriously worth acceptable? A porta potty match? Seriously?
There is no surprise that those ideas were cancelled, and what do you expect? You seriously think WWE would allow former World champions in such goofy gimmick matches? No. So we stand by WWE’s decision not to approve them.
