The semi-final lineups for the 2021 WWE King of the Ring Tournament and the inaugural WWE Queen’s Crown Tournament are set following this week’s Raw. The season premiere for the red brand saw Xavier Woods defeat Ricochet in a KOTR first-round match, while Jinder Mahal defeated Kofi Kingston in another first-round bout.
Next week’s RAW, the final one before Crown Jewel 2021 will feature Woods vs. Mahal in a semi-finals match. The winner of that match will head into the PPV on Thursday, October 21 to face the winner of the Finn Balor vs. Sami Zayn semi-finale match on this Friday’s SmackDown. The winner of Woods/Mahal vs. Balor/Zayn at Crown Jewel will be crowned the 2021 WWE King of the Ring.

The inaugural Queen’s Crown Tournament also continued alongside King of the Ring on this week’s Raw that took place at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. Shayna Baszler defeat Dana Brooke in a first-round match, while Doudrop defeated Natalya in the other bout.

Next week’s RAW will feature Baszler vs. Doudrop in a semi-final match. The winner of that match will move into Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia to face the winner of this Friday’s Carmella vs. Zelina Vega semi-final match on SmackDown. The winner of Baszler/Doudrop vs. Carmella/Vega at Crown Jewel will become the inaugural WWE Queen’s Crown Tournament winner.
As seen on this past Friday night on Smackdown season premiere, Balor defeated Cesaro to advance to the semi-finals of the King of the Ring Tournament, while Zayn defeated Rey Mysterio to advance. In the Queen’s Crown tournament, Carmella defeated Liv Morgan to advance to the semi-final, while Vega defeated Toni Storm to advance.
2021 King of the Ring Tournament and the inaugural Queen’s Crown Tournament are likely to culminate at Crown Jewel 2021 although WWE is yet to confirm the same. If that’s the case then for the first time ever, two female division matches will take place at a Saudi Arabia PPV event. The other match announced for the show is a Triple Threat for the Smackdown Women’s Championship where Becky Lynch defends against Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair.
