Earlier reports have already suggested that WWE was planning to bring back the King of the Ring tournament for a special premium live event under the titular matchup. This alongside the Queen of the Ring/Queen’s Crown should also be happening in the month of May.
While nothing regarding the event has been confirmed on WWE’s part, it’s certain that WWE is expected to host the King of the Ring 2023 edition in conjunction with the Backlash pay-per-view, which is typically held in early May. If reports are to be believed that Backlash without the Wrestlemania name should go down as the first post-Wrestlemania 39 WWE Network Specials.

In an update, from PWInsider via Wrestling Headlines, the WWE King of The Ring premium live event is scheduled to be held on May 27 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is the second-largest city in Saudi country which also serves as the main resort city in the country, meaning that the event would be a great destination for the fans during that timespan.

WWE has a couple of big venues to run King of the Ring 2023
Although the exact location of the WWE King of the Ring event is currently unknown, it’s worth noting that WWE has previously held two events, the Greatest Royal Rumble 2018 and Super ShowDown 2019, at the King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah. As for the 2022 Elimination Chamber premium live event, it went down from the brand-new Jeddah Super Dome.
Upcoming WWE PLE schedule for 2023-24
We believe more updates regarding the 2023 WWE King of the Ring and possibly the Queen’s Crown will be available once Wrestlemania 39 passes by. At present, five PLEs are confirmed to take place around the next year and the schedule goes as follows,
