2022 is in the history books and WWE revealed the Match of the Year 2022 candidates along with the top entry in the list. During a recent episode of WWE’s The Bump, these top matches from last year were revealed.
Per the WWE, Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell is the Match of the Year 2022. WWE Universe certainly isn’t in opposition to this decision where Cody showed his incredible heroics to compete in a match despite suffering an injury.

Cody Rhodes faced off against Seth Rollins in the main event of Hell In A Cell. The American Nightmare picked up an injury during an earlier brawl with Rollins heading into the match. But Cody realized how important the match was as he got to feature in the main event of a PPV for the first time and he had no intention of missing out on it irrespective of what his condition was.

Eventually, Cody vs. Rollins turned out to be the Match of the Year 2022 where Cody himself made history at the event. According to the earlier reports in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Cody himself managed to get the same number of Google searches as compared to the Hell in a Cell PPV event, itself.
