Mixed Match Challenge continued last night on Facebook Live. It has found a new slot following Smackdown Live that comes up with entertaining matchups. We have received two episodes this far giving us two pairs that advanced to the next round. Braun Strowman-Ember Moon and Bobby Lashley-Mickie James are the two teams from WWE Raw.

Charlotte Flair-AJ Styles and The Miz-Asuka are the two other pairs from Smackdown Live. Last night, we received a brand new pair from the flagship show in Mixed Match Challenge. Finn Balor and Bayley teamed up as a fresh pair to compete against Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox. The latter duo already lost their first match. So it was a do or die situation for them.

Finn Balor and Bayley made the first entrance to start Mixed Match Challenge. They exchanged their in-ring gear jackets to come up with a good bonding. Alicia Fox wanted to be the leader of Team Mahalicia after last week’s failure. So she wanted to start the match against Finn Balor rather than Bayley! Balor and Mahal started the match, finally until Sunil Singh provided an interruption.

He invited Bayley to join her for a Bollywood dance with him. The Hugger was going to accept the invitation but Alicia Fox shoved her into the ring post. This became the turning point of the match as the team of Finn Balor and Bayley picked up the win in the following way, (courtesy WWE.com)

“Sunil opted to run away from a Bayley attack and let Fox take the brunt of it. This caused Foxy to chase down Sunil, and Bayley wrecked Singh with a Bayley-to-Belly. Bálor followed up with a dive that took out Sunil and Mahal, and Bayley finished Fox off with another Bayley-to-Belly to pick up the clutch victory in her team’s MMC debut. Mahalicia fell to 0-2.”

The other matchup featured from Smackdown Live that witnessed to real-life couples confronting each other. Rusev and Lana were the ones going up against Jimmy Uso and Naomi. Both the teams were part of the first edition of Mixed Match Challenge. They traded heated words on the social media to create a rift prior to the actual match took place.

Rusev and Lana could focus less in this edition of Mixed Match Challenge due to the Milwaukee controversy from Smackdown. Lana and Naomi started off the match with a dance-off contest on the show. Rusev and Jimmy Usos engaged in an argument about whose wife became the winner of the dance contest.

They could not go on the same page and rather started their own dance-off contest. We saw a tribute being paid to the legendary Rikishi until Rusev hit Jimmy Uso with a superkick to the face. Lana and Naomi were still legal in the match. Naomi wanted to pin Lana after a series of attacks but Rusev broke it up, again.

This turned out to be fatal as Jimmy Uso took the mic in hand and inspired the crowd to cheer more for the Milwaukee incident. This led Lana to go out of the match and give a slap to the face of Jimmy. Naomi took advantage of this and rolled Lana up for the win. Team Day One GloW has been able to go to the second round of the Mixed Match Challenge with the help of this win.
