WWE Raw, Elimination Chamber, WWE Raw, Roman Reigns, The Miz
The Miz has made it to the qualification of the Elimination Chamber match of the WWE Raw.

The first Elimination Chamber qualifying match on Monday night’s WWE Raw witnessed Roman Reigns taking on Bray Wyatt in a mega match that heard the crowd chanting ‘this is awesome’ for the better part.

After a hellacious battle between two of the former bitter rivals, it was the Big Dog who became the winner and eventually the fourth contestant in the Chamber matchup.

There was another matchup-in-store on the show – to determine the next entrant to the demonic steel cage that will return on February 25th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Moreover, It was announced on the show, itself after it aired from Iowa, last (Monday) night.

We were surprised to see The Miz getting a chance to compete in it despite being the Intercontinental Champion.

After last week’s win against Roman Reigns, it was supposed that the Hollywood A-lister will get a new challenger for his title on WWE Raw. But, it was a pleasant surprise to see him competing in the Elimination Chamber match qualifier. His opponent was Apollo Crews from the Titus Worldwide.

Before the match, The Miz cut a strong promo as to why 2018 is going to be his year.

The numerical of this year literally favours him a lot and hence no one will stop him from winning the Universal Champion at Wrestlemania who might become a dual-champion, as well.

Check out the updates from WWE.com, here about his promo:

“According to The Miz, it is an astrological certainty that 2018 is his year. It’s a little early to say for sure, but between his Intercontinental Title win and now a Men’s Elimination Chamber berth, he might be on to something. The A-Lister once again backed up his boasts in a Chamber qualifier, turning away Apollo Crews despite an astonishing effort from Titus Worldwide’s resident workhorse.”

The match turned out to be a short one which was quite expected since Crews is not a relevant opponent for the main event performer like The Miz is.

Another notable thing is this match was that The Miztourage did not help their mentor, either.

So, the champion kicked out of the standing moon-assault from the young superstar. Crews went for a slingshot which was countered and converted into the Skull Crushing Finale for the win.

With this victory, The Miz became the fifth participant after Roman Reigns, Elias, John Cena, and Braun Strowman for the Elimination Chamber contest.
