Money in the Bank 2023 appeared to be a large event from London’s O2 Arena, last night which had several pleasing moments for the fans. WWE offered a loaded card full of matches at the beginning of which Damian Priest won the Men’s division Money in the Bank briefcase. It was a bit of a surprising move for the fans but an expected name pulled off the win in the women’s counterpart.

In the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder 2023 Match, IYO SKY defeated Trish Stratus, Becky Lynch, Zoey Stark, Bayley, and Zelina Vega to secure a future championship opportunity. Now, she can cash in the briefcase for the WWE Women’s Championship held by Asuka on Smackdown or the Women’s World Championship held by Rhea Ripley on Raw.

As seen in the Money in the Bank 2023 women’s ladder match which also marked her first-ever Money in the Bank Ladder Match appearance, SKY’s partnership with fellow Damage CTRL member Bayley was tested. In the end, it appeared that these two may not remain on the same team, going forward.

The Damage CTRL leader, Bayley nearly cost SKY the match after she knocked her off a ladder and attempted to win the match for herself. SKY eventually sought retribution on her partner by handcuffing the former women’s champion as well as Becky Lynch together using the rungs of the ladder. The genius of the sky then climbed up the ladder and retrieved the Money in the Bank 2023 briefcase which marked the biggest win of her career.

Since debuting on the main roster, SKY has become one of the breakout stars of WWE’s women’s division. She previously lost a title bout to Bianca Belair at WWE Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico but she got one of the loudest pops during the PLE which promised that a big push should be reserved for her.

The same tradition continued at Money in the Bank 2023 as the fans in attendance at the O2 Arena in London, England whole-heartedly supported SKY throughout the gimmick match. Last night’s win also marked SKY’s first win on a Premium Live Event since last November, when she and Dakota Kai defeated Asuka and Alexa Bliss at Crown Jewel 2022 to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
